Data Entry & Management · Manufacturing & Industrial

Data entry & management support for manufacturing & industrial operations

Manufacturing operations generate a constant stream of data: production counts, inventory adjustments, supplier records, quality inspection logs, and purchase order details, and that data only has value if it's accurate and current. When your team is managing the floor, they shouldn't also be manually keying in BOMs or reconciling spreadsheets against your ERP. A Nacho Executive Assistant handles the data work so your operations and procurement staff stay focused on what they were hired to do.

Can a Virtual Assistant handle data entry & management for manufacturers?

Yes. Nacho matches manufacturers with a vetted, 100% US-based Executive Assistant who owns data entry & management week after week, not a one-off task. You start with a $300 Delegation Strategy Plan, set a monthly Talent Budget from $1,000, and we match you in about a week.

How it works

How your Executive Assistant owns data entry & management for manufacturers

A Nacho Executive Assistant working with a manufacturing or industrial client typically handles tasks like entering production run data into systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Fishbowl, or JobBOSS, maintaining supplier and vendor records, and keeping inventory spreadsheets reconciled against what's in your ERP or WMS. They work from the tools and templates you already use: whether that's a shared Google Sheet, an Excel-based BOM tracker, or direct data entry into your MRP system with credentials you provide. Your role is to define what accurate looks like, flag exceptions, and do a periodic review; the EA handles the repetitive entry, formatting, and cross-referencing that eats up hours each week. Most clients share a short SOP or a sample completed entry at the start, and from there the EA works independently with minimal back-and-forth.

Off your plate

What your Executive Assistant takes off your plate

Before your first session, pull one completed example of the data entry task you want delegated: a filled-in spreadsheet row, a finished ERP record, or a processed PO, and use it as your handoff template. The most common mistake is assuming the EA will infer what 'correct' looks like from a blank form; a single real example eliminates most early errors and cuts your review time significantly.

  1. ERP and MRP Data Entry

Entering production orders, work orders, and job completions into systems like SAP, NetSuite, Fishbowl, or JobBOSS based on daily or weekly reports from the floor.

  2. Inventory Record Maintenance

Updating stock levels, part numbers, and warehouse location data in your inventory management system or Excel/Google Sheets tracker after cycle counts or receiving.

  3. Supplier and Vendor Database Updates

Adding new vendors, updating contact information, pricing terms, and lead times in your procurement system or CRM to keep sourcing records current and searchable.

  4. Purchase Order and Invoice Data Entry

Keying PO details, line items, and invoice data into your accounting or ERP system, including cross-referencing against quotes or receiving documents to flag discrepancies.

  5. Quality and Inspection Log Entry

Transcribing inspection results, non-conformance reports, or production quality data from paper forms or PDFs into your QMS spreadsheet or database for traceability and reporting.

The model

What delegating to Nacho actually looks like

This is ongoing delegation to one vetted, US-based person, not a task posted to a marketplace.

  1. Start with a Delegation Strategy Plan

A one-time $300 onboarding fee pairs you with a Client Success Manager who maps what to hand off first. See the full process.

  2. Get matched in about a week

We match you with a vetted, 100% US-based Executive Assistant in your time zone. If the fit is not right, the Nacho Guarantee re-matches you free.

  3. Set a monthly Talent Budget

Budgets start at $1,000 a month and draw across Executive Assistants from $40/hr, Specialists from $65/hr, and Fractional Executives from $125/hr. Up to $200 of unused budget rolls over each month. For operations-led work, that senior seat is usually a Fractional COO. See pricing in detail.

  4. Three months, then month to month

The initial term is three months so the working relationship has time to compound, then it rolls month to month. Book a discovery call to size yours.

Good questions

Frequently asked questions

Can a Nacho EA work directly in our ERP or inventory system?
Yes, clients provide login credentials and any necessary VPN or remote access, and the EA enters data directly into your system. Your IT or ops team controls access levels, so you can limit the EA to specific modules or data entry permissions only.
How does this work if our data comes from paper forms or PDFs from the shop floor?
This is a common setup in manufacturing. You or a floor supervisor can scan or photograph documents and drop them into a shared folder: Google Drive, Dropbox, or SharePoint, and the EA pulls from there on a defined schedule. If volume is high, many clients batch submissions daily or at shift end.
We only need heavy data entry support during certain production cycles. Is that a problem?
No: Nacho's monthly budgets are flexible, and up to $200 of unused budget can roll over each month, though we encourage clients to use their full budget so less goes to waste. Clients in manufacturing often ramp up data entry support around end-of-quarter inventory counts or new product launches without changing their plan.
